December 3-5, 2013 the IV World Congress of Global Civilization took place in Moscow. Scientists and specialists of world renown from 15 countries took part in it.
Organizers of the Congress:
Global Civilization Support Organization;
International Institute of Pitirim Sorokin – Nikolai Kondratiev;
Global Alliance for a Low-Carbon Environment of the UN World Development Fund;
Far East Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences;
Vernadsky Non-Governmental Environmental Foundation.
The following issues were discussed at the event:
Civilizational Declaration on Global Environmental Protection;
The Centennial Plan for Integrated Global Environmental Remediation;
Creation of Organization for the Integrated Global Environmental Remediation;
Creation of Global Monitoring, Forecasting and Emergency Response System (GEMA);
V.I. Vernadsky’s doctrine of noosphere as a basis for the strategy of global sustainable development.
In accordance with the Program of the Congress on December 5, 2013 were held:
session 8 “Challenges of globalization and regionalization and financial and economic regulation of sustainable development”. Academicians of the Russian Academy of Sciences B.N. Kuzyk, M.L. Titarenko, K.M. Barsky, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for the SCO, and well-known foreign scientists were invited to participate in the session;
Session 9 “Enhancing Youth Role in Implementing Global Sustainable Development Strategy and Education System”.
Rector of the Financial University, Professor M.A. Eskindarov headed the sessions.
The event ended with the adoption of the final documents of the World Congress.
